Account Executive, Public Safety
The role
Policereports.ai is the AI documentation and investigative platform that police departments and sheriff's offices use to write reports, automate forms and analyze evidence, all inside a CJIS-compliant environment that runs alongside their existing RMS and CAD. Agencies in more than 20 states already use it. As an Account Executive, you take agencies from first conversation to signed agreement, and you help them see what their officers get back.
Your work day
You spend your days talking to chiefs, sheriffs, command staff and procurement teams. You run discovery, lead demos with real agency paperwork, follow up on pilots and work through budgets, councils and procurement rules with the people who own them. You work closely with our former officers on the product and client teams, so every conversation is grounded in how the job actually works.
Responsibilities
- Own a territory and a pipeline of police departments, sheriff's offices and other public safety agencies.
- Run discovery calls and demos that show agencies their own time savings.
- Guide agencies through pilots, free licenses and the move to a full agreement.
- Navigate public sector procurement, including quotes, sole source letters, cooperative contracts and council approvals.
- Represent Policereports.ai at state chiefs' and sheriffs' association conferences and trade shows.
- Keep the CRM accurate and forecast honestly.
Who you are
You are comfortable in a room with a sheriff and on a call with a purchasing officer. You listen first, you follow up when you said you would, and you would rather lose a deal than oversell. You understand that trust in this market is earned slowly and lost quickly.
You have
- A track record selling software or technology to government, public safety or other regulated buyers.
- Experience managing long sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
- Clear, confident written and spoken English.
- Willingness to travel to agencies and events.
- Nice to have: law enforcement experience, existing relationships with agencies, or experience with GovTech procurement vehicles.
What we offer
A small team, direct access to the leadership, and a product that agencies can measure in hours back on patrol. You will not be a ticket-taker here.
- Base salary plus commission.
- Fully remote, with flexible working hours.
- Paid time off.
- A direct line to the people making the decisions.
Who we are
Policereports.ai is an AI documentation and investigative platform for law enforcement, built with input from former officers. Agencies use it to cut the hours lost to paperwork and get officers back on patrol, with security that meets CJIS requirements and SOC 2 certification.
